Partnership for Haddonfield - VISUAL ENHANCEMENTS COMMITTEE

Functions:

To implement visual improvements in the Business District that provide improved lighting, signage, and plantings to create comfortable, well-marked, and continuous streetfront experiences. The appeal of the pedestrian environment strengths the sense of place and supports retail spending.

Representative functions to include the following, as well as any additional activities that are within this realm of work.

Partner with Garden Club on plant selection and placement
Identify areas that need more street lights and work with Borough on implementation
Identify streets that could benefit from improved signage and recommend solutions
Order additional banners for lampposts where banners do not exist
Create new banner/flag designs
Identify areas in need of trash receptacles and work on a solution
Remind retailers of their responsibilities to keep their areas clean
Parking lot bed maintenance

The committee meets at least once a month and more frequently on an as needed basis.
