Request for Quotes - Snow Removal Services

The Borough of Haddonfield is requesting quotes on snow removal for the 2011-2012 season.

Areas to be plowed on Bid Forms 1 and 2 are colored in yellow with pricing to be per plowing session, regardless of depth of snow. Marked walkways are to be plowed/shoveled and treated for ice. Only calcium chloride is to be used on walkways, no rock salt.

Bid Form 3 includes additional locations for hand shoveling. Each location should be treated individually. The Borough reserves the right to award any combination and/or none of the items on the Bid Forms.

Contractor will be notified by phone prior to the pending storm if he is to plow parking area. After being notified contractor is to have area completed as soon as possible, the parking areas are used mostly during the day so plowing operations are best done during the night time hours. Contractor will also supply a contact number that permits the Borough to be able to get in contact with the contractor 24/7.

The Borough of Haddonfield understands the variables involved in this contract are many. Any options (excepting snow depth) the contractor would like to add can be done in the space provided on the bid form.

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Borough Clerk, for the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Haddonfield, a municipal corporation in the County of Camden and State of New Jersey, on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. prevailing time at the Borough of Haddonfield, Room 102 at which time and place bids will be opened and read in public for “TEMPORARY LABOR SERVICES.”

The Bid package for this service is available online at www.haddonfieldnj.org and in Room 101 of Municipal Hall, Borough of Haddonfield, 242 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, NJ 08033 during regular business hours (8:30 am to 4:30 pm).

Bids must be submitted on standard form, available with the specifications.  Bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and shall be marked on the outside for “TEMPORARY LABOR SERVICES.”

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq.
