- Property Taxes Due May 1st - The 2nd quarter 2020 tax payment is due on May 1, 2020 with a 10-day grace period. Please note that we do not accept post marked envelopes or post dated checks. At the April 14, 2020 Commissioner Meeting a Resolution was passed authorizing the rate of interest for non-payment of May 1, 2020 taxes to be 0% if paid between May 1, 2020 and May 31, 2020.  This applies only to property taxes that are current on all billing.  Property taxes that are not paid by May 31, 2020 will be subject to interest at the rate of 8% per annum up to $1,500 and 18% per annum over $1,500 to be calculated from the due date until the date of actual payment.  Please note that all delinquent taxes as of May 1, 2020 will continue to be charged for non-payment of taxes at the current interest rates. You can still pay your property taxes at Borough Hall – there is a black mailbox at the front of the building that is strictly for dropping off items for our departments.  You may put your bill & check in an envelope marked for the “Tax Office” in that black box as we check the box daily.  If you enclosed your entire tax bill, it will be stamped “Paid” and mailed back to you.  (Posted 4/14/2020)
