Municipal Court Move Finalized
The move of the borough’s municipal court to Audubon has been finalized and is in effect. Last week, commissioners officially appointed the Audubon judge, prosecutor, public defender and court administrator to similar positions for Haddonfield.
Residents who have to appear in court on a legal matter, including tickets that require a court appearance, now must go to the Audubon court, located at 606 W. Nicholson Road.

Borough parking tickets still can be paid online through Haddonfield’s Web site. Also, copies of police reports are still available at the Haddonfield Police Department.

Residents who wish to pay a fine by mail can mail a check, payable to the borough of Haddonfield, to the Audubon court at the above address. The ZIP Code is 08106.

Questions about upcoming court matters should be directed to the Audubon court at 547-0712. You can visit www.boroughofaudubon.com for more information.

Commissioners awarded the low bid for emergency by-pass pumps for Grove Street and Elm Avenue pump stations. Municipal Maintenance Co. of Cinnaminson submitted the low bid of $298,250.

Commissioners rejected and authorized the re-advertising of bids for landscaping services.
The lone bid received for the services was $197,220, which exceeded the amount budgeted for the work.

School Board Month
Commissioners have proclaimed January as School Board Recognition Month.
“The efforts of the Haddonfield Board of Education have long contributed to New Jersey ranking among the national leaders in benchmarks of academic quality, such as high school graduation rates, teacher-to-student ratios, and college preparation through advanced-placement offerings and SAT assessments,” the proclamation reads, in part.

Bancroft Participation Plan
Clark Caton Hintz will present the plan for public participation for the Bancroft Redevelopment Plan at a public meeting to be held Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. at the Borough Hall Auditorium. A general review of the redevelopment process will be addressed along with a detailed plan for public input.

Snow Removal Reminder
The borough reminds owners, landlords and tenants of business and professional property that borough ordinance requires the removal of all snow and ice from public sidewalks abutting the property within 18 hours after ice forms or the snowfall ends. Parking lots, walkways and other areas used by their customers and employees also are covered under the ordinance.

Pet Licensing Reminder
The deadline for licensing your pets is Jan. 31. After that, a late fee is applied.
The forms are available on the borough’s Web site or can be picked up at borough hall, the Information Center, the library or the Mabel Kay Center.
