Bancroft Redevelopment
The kick-off meeting for Bancroft redevelopment has been rescheduled to Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. at borough hall, due to last week’s inclement weather.

The borough also has unveiled a Web site dedicated to the project: www.bancroftredevelopment.com. The web site provides resources for everyone interested in the process, information about the site and more. The website can also be used to participate in the process and provide input through surveys, asking questions and participating in a forum.
Included at the site are a look at the Bancroft site itself, a breakdown of how the redevelopment process will play out, a place for news and announcements, relevant documents dating back to 2005, meeting information and ways to get involved. Residents also can sign up for e-mail updates.

Water/Sewer Rates Increased
Commissioners have approved on first reading an ordinance that raises water rates from $4.70 per thousand gallons to $4.80, and sewer rates from $2.25 per thousand gallons to $2.30. The borough is facing significant infrastructure updates and is raising rates slowly and incrementally to assist in paying for the repairs.

Love Is In The Air
Commissioners passed a resolution approving the Partnership for Haddonfield’s Love Is In The Air event, which runs Feb. 1-14. On Saturday, Feb. 12, strolling and stationary outdoor entertainment will be permitted in the business district, and real estate-style “More Stores” signs and Valentines flags are permitted throughout the event.

Line-Painting Services
Commissioners approved the low bid of $11,760 from GWP Enterprises of Franklinville to provide line-painting services to the borough.

Public Works Remediation
Commissioners have authorized the advertisement of bids for environmental remediation services at the public works facility. Bids are due on or before Thursday, Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. in Room 102 of borough hall.

Pothole Repair Services
Commissioners have authorized the advertisement of bids for pothole repair services. Bids are due on or before Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. in Room 102 of borough hall.

Communication, Printing, Advertising Services
Commissioners have authorized the advertisement of bids for communication services, which include the writing of Municipal Matters. Bids are due on or before Thursady, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. in Room 102 of borough hall.
Also, commissioners have authorized the advertisement of bids for printing services, which could include the printing of a mailed newsletter. Bids are due on or before Thursday, Feb. 24 at 3:15 p.m. in Room 102 of borough hall.
In addition, commissioners have authorized the advertisement of bids for advertising services, in the event commissioners want to advertise events or meetings. This does not include legal advertising. Bids are due on or before Thursday, Feb. 24 at 3:30 p.m. in Room 102 of borough hall.

Taxes Due
Tax payments were due Feb. 1, but there is a 10-day grace period. If you have not paid your taxes, you can do so in person at borough hall or online through the borough’s Web site: www.haddonfieldnj.org.

Pet Licenses
The deadline for licensing your pets was Jan. 31. If you haven’t yet licensed your pet, you still must do so, and there will be a late fee. The forms are available on the borough’s Web site or can be picked up at borough hall, the Information Center, the library or the Mabel Kay Center.

Construction Updates
The utility portion of the Tanner Street project is complete. Final paving work is expected to be put out to bid early this month, with construction in April.
The utility portion of the Woodland Avenue project is complete. The road contractor is attempting to continue work between snowstorms, and finishing concrete work as soon as possible. Base paving will require five consecutive days with no rain or snow to move forward.

Grove Street Line
The Grove Street gravity sewer line has begun construction. Workers have tapped into
