Partnership for Haddonfield Annual Summer Sidewalk Sale
The Partnership for Haddonfield is happy to announce the annual Summer Sidewalk Sale on August 6th through the 9th. The hours are Thursday 10a-7p, Friday 10a-7p, Saturday 10a-5p, Sunday 12p-5p. The sidewalks on North & South Haddon Ave, Mechanic St, Tanner St, Kings Court, Ellis St, Lantern Lane, and Kings Highway will host the sale of the summer!

Grace Period Extended for Property Taxes
The annual property tax bill is expected to be mailed out the last week in July. The Commissioners have authorized an extension to the grace period for homeowners to pay their taxes for the third quarter payment. Taxes may be paid up through August 24 without interest. However interest will be charged back to August 1 for any taxes paid after that date.

Appointments Approved
The Municipal Alliance reappointed its current members and appointed two new members. Steven Peterson was appointed as the Prosecutor. Appointments were also made to the Environmental Commission with Douglas Campbell as Alternate I, Kelly Gilrain as Alternate II and Bert Cossaboon as Chairperson.

Haddonfield Soccer Club Kick-Off
The Haddonfield Soccer Club will hold the Keith Schwab Memorial Kick-Off Classic on August 29. This event will be held at the Crow’s Woods complex. This tournament is in honor of former Haddonfield Soccer Club President Keith Schwab.

Bid Awards
The bid for Rear Loader Refuse Truck was awarded to Hunter Truck Sales & Service of 2320 High Hill Road Swedesboro, NJ 08085 in the amount of $214,339.

The bid for Towable Brush Chipper/Shredder was awarded to Vermeer Atlantic Sales & Service of 7 Maple Avenue Lumberton, NJ 08048 in the amount of $59,566.

The bid for 25 Cubic Yard Trailer Mounted Self-Contained Vacuum Leaf Collector was awarded to H. A. DeHart & Son, Inc. of 311 Crown Point Road Thorofare, NJ 08086 in the amount of $49,887.

Amendments to the Historic District Ordinance
An ordinance to formally remove a property from the Historic District was introduced at the July 21 Commissioners meeting. The second reading and public hearing will be at the next Commissioners Meeting on August 18, 2015 at 7:30pm.

Authorization for Tax Deductions for Veterans
At the Commissioners meeting on July 21 four residents were authorized as having qualified to receive a $250 Veterans deduction made in their taxes. One resident was authorized for property tax exemption as a Totally Disabled Veteran.

Authorization to Turn Over All Uncashed Checks for Haddonfield Municipal Court
Uncashed checks totaling I the amount of $30.00 were authorized to be turned over to the Borough of Haddonfield by the Haddonfield Municipal Court.

Authorization to Appoint a Qualified Purchasing Agent
Anne Frey has completed the training and testing required to become a Qualified Purchasing Agent which raised the bed threshold maximum bid from $17,500 to $40,000. The Borough has hereby appointed Ms. Frey as the Qualified Purchasing Agent.

Release of Year 5 Performance Bond
The Board of Commissioners released a 5 year Performance Bond in the amount of $300,259.44 to Casworth Enterprises, the Year 5 contract expired on June30, 2015 and a new contract with Waste Management of NJ was awarded as of July 1, 2015.

Authorization of Online Auction
Surplus property is being offered at auction at www.govdeals.com. The auction will begin on Monday July 27 at 2:00pm and conclude on Sunday August 6 at 2:00pm. Items up for auction include: 3 metal lateral filing cabinets, a mail lock box and 2 computer monitors.

Agreement Signed
A settlement agreement between the Borough of Haddonfield and a third party Plaintiff/Defendant, Aegis Security on behalf of Paramount Enterprises was signed in the matter of Tanner Street and the 2012 Road Program.

Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm for billing questions, non-emergency and emergency calls. This number should also be used for all emergency calls from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

New Jersey American Water also has an online self-service website which can be accessed at any time. www.amwater.com/myh2o. Be sure to have your NJAW account number handy.

NJAW has personnel at Borough Hall on Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm each week to answer any questions you may have during this transition time.
