Election Results
Jeff Kasko, John Moscatelli and Neal Rochford were voted onto the Haddonfield Board of Commissioners, receiving 2,085 votes, 2,019 votes and 1,869 votes, respectively.
Bid Awards
The following bids were awarded by the Borough:
- Carter Van Dyke Associates for the Historic Preservation Commission – Technical Consultant Services.
- Republic Bank, 30 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, New Jersey 08033, for banking and investment services to the Borough of Haddonfield for a period of three years.
Performance Bond Authorizations
The commissioners have authorized performance bonds for the following:
- Asphalt Paving Systems for the Mechanic & Clement Streets Historic Preservation & Streetscape Improvements.
- CRJ Contracting, Inc., for the first phase of the Grove Street Sanitary Sewer and Extension
National Historic Preservation Month
The Commissioners have proclaimed May to be National Historic Preservation Month where historic preservation will be recognized as a tool for managing growth and sustainable development, revitalization of neighborhoods, fostering local pride and maintaining community character while enhancing livability. The theme for National Historic Preservation Month for May 2013 is “Discover America’s Hidden Gems” sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation Society.
Girls’ Night Out! In June
The Partnership for Haddonfield’s Marketing Committee will host another fun-filled, ladies’ night of shopping, wine, food and fun during Girls’ Night Out! Friday June 7, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Downtown Haddonfield. Girls’ Night Out! kicks off the summer fashion season in Haddonfield with many of the town’s shops and boutiques offering in-store events, discounts and more. Stores will be offering 20% or more off select merchandise and in some cases, the entire store, for this event.
Haddonfield’s Rules for Dog Walking
The Commissioners want to remind residents of the rules regarding walking your dogs and disposing property of their waste:
- All dogs must be on a leash when being walked on public streets; no pet is permitted to roam un-leashed in Haddonfield
- Pet owners or anyone who takes their pet for walks must properly dispose of their pet’s waste by picking it up, wrapping it and either placing it in the trash or flushing it unwrapped down the toilet.
First Fridays 2013
The Partnership for Haddonfield to will continue to sponsor “First Friday” events in 2013 on June 7, July 5, August 2, and September 6 of 2013 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Kings Highway. The events will feature artists, vendors and entertainment for all ages. Come out and enjoy the warm-weather fun!
Having Mulch (Etc.) Delivered?
Residents and commercial property owners are reminded that dumpling mulch, dirt, and, etc. on public streets and sidewalks is prohibited and that it is property owners, not landscaping contractors, who much appear in court when citations are issued.
