Update to the Historic District Ordinance
Haddonfield’s Historic District Ordinance was the second district established in the State of New Jersey.  The past 40 years there has been little change to the ordinance.  Over the past six months the ordinance has been under review.  Based on significant input from the Historic Preservation Commission, Planning Board, Zoning Board, and the public, a final version of the amended ordinance has been prepared.  Prior to introduction by the Commissioners, there will be a public meeting held on April 9 at 7:00 pm in the auditorium of Borough Hall.  The consultants from Carter van Dyke Associates will be there to explain the changes to the ordinance and answer questions.
