Planning Board Meeting—Redevelopment Designation
On Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. at Borough Hall auditorium the Planning Board will hold a public hearing to re-investigate and determine whether the Bancroft property meets the criteria for an area in need of redevelopment pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-5. The purpose of the investigation is to determine if the Bancroft property continues to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-5 to be designated as an area in need of redevelopment.

Special Planning Board Meeting—Recommendations of the Land Use Committee
The Planning Board has received a memo outlining recommendations on land use and development issues in the Borough from the Land Use Committee. The Committee has been meeting with Board members, Borough professionals, neighborhood organizations and knowledgeable residents for the past seven months gathering data.
On Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in the Borough Hall auditorium the Planning Board will take public comment on the recommendations. A copy of the recommendation memo is available on the Borough website or in the Construction Office at Borough Hall.

SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL COMMITTEE –
The Commissioners are establishing a committee for each elementary school to review the routes and plan for the Safe Route to School. Residents interested in participating on the committee should email smccullough@haddonfield-nj.gov. The message should include which school you wish to participate with.
The committee will be made up of 7 residents, 2 of which can be residents that do not have children in the appropriate school. The remaining 5 will be parents with a child or children in the appropriate school. Additional members will include the Principal of the school, the Borough Administrator, the Chief of Police, and the Borough Engineer. Assistance with the process will be provided by Cross County Connection.
Members will be chosen on a first come-first serve basis. Members will be limited to one person from an individual street.

Bid Request – Tree Removal Services
The Commissioners have authorized a bid request for “TREE REMOVAL SERVICES” to be received on or before Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 103 of the Haddonfield Borough Hall.

Anniversary Field Facility Enhancement
The Borough has received from Camden County a $25,000.00 Open Space Trust that will be used to improve and update the lighting at Anniversary Field.

NJDOT Grant Agreement
The Commissioners authorized the submission of an electronic grant application to the NJ
Department of Transportation for the FY2016 NJDOT Trust Fund – Reconstruction of
Centre Street and Ellis Street Project.

Upcoming Event
The Commissioners have granted permission to Ivivva Athletica to host “Paw it Forward” on Saturday, October 24.

The Borough is looking to fill vacancies on the following boards: Library Board; Shade Tree Commission: Environmental Commission; Sustainable Haddonfield; Senior Citizen Board; and Zoning Board

First Night Haddonfield – Thursday, December 31
Ring in 2015 during First Night Haddonfield, a family-friendly, alcohol-free evening of fun in Downtown Haddonfield on Thursday, December 31 from 5:30 p.m. – midnight. First Night features a spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration complete with live entertainment, fireworks, activities and fun for all ages. Other festivities taking place during the six-and-a-half-hour event includes comedy, magic, children’s entertainment, food and dancing. This year First Night Haddonfield plans to offer something for every member of the family to enjoy – with more than 40 performances in 20 different venues on Kings Highway. First Night buttons can be purchased online at http://www.firstnighthaddonfield.org/.
Parking regulations in the Borough normally prohibit parking on public streets from 1a.m. to 5a.m.; however, during and after First Night activities vehicles of residents and guests may park on the streets between midnight and 6 a.m. on January 1, 2015.

Haddonfield’s Rules for Dog Walking
The Commissioners want to remind residents of the rules regarding walking your dogs and disposing property of their waste:
All dogs must be on a leash when being walked on public streets; the Crows Woods Nature Preserve and in any park area; no pet is permitted to roam un-leashed in Haddonfield
Pet owners or anyone who takes their pet for walks must properly dispose of their pet’s waste by picking it up, wrapping it and either placing it in the trash or flushing it unwrapped down the toilet.
