January 22, 2021

On the evening of January 22, 2021, the Board of Commissioners learned that another Haddonfield resident has died from COVID-19.  This is the 8th soul lost to the pandemic within our Borough.  The Commissioners extend their deepest sympathies to the families of all those who have passed away.

Currently, we have reported a total of 444 cases within the Borough.  This represents an increase of over 100 cases since December 28th.  As members of our community mourn, and many continue to struggle with isolation, caregiving, financial burdens & limited social interaction, we remind everyone that NJ Mental Health Cares, the state’s behavioral health information and referral service, offers help to anyone dealing with anxiety and depression related to the pandemic. Residents can call 1-866-202-HELP (4357) for free, confidential support.

Additionally, the Commissioners encourage residents to register for the COVID-19 vaccine.  Those who have not already done so may visit the State of New Jersey's information hub to learn more: https://covid19.nj.gov/pages/vaccine

New Jersey will roll out COVID-19 vaccines in a phased approach to all adults who live, work, or are being educated in the State. Within six months, New Jersey aims to vaccinate 70 percent of the adult population.
